Tata's New Car Review

The following is a review of the car Tata's Tata's New Car. This is a car is cool and interesting to you have. see the review below. I hope you're happy because they visit this blog.

With spiralling fuel prices it is about time we heard some breakthrough!
India's largest automaker Tata Motors is set to start producing the world's first commercial air-powered vehicle. The Air Car, developed by ex-Formula One engineer Guy Nègre for Luxembourg-based MDI, uses compressed air, as opposed to the gas-and-oxygen explosions of internal-combustion models, to push its engine's pistons. Some 6000 zero-emissions Air Cars are scheduled to hit Indian streets by August
The Air Car, called the MiniCAT could cost around Rs. 3,50,000 ($ 8177) in India and would have a range of around 300 km between refuels.
The cost of a refill would be about Rs. 85 ($ 2).

The MiniCAT which is a simple, light urban car, with a tubular chassis that is glued not welded and a body of fiberglass powered by compressed air. Microcontrollers are used in every device in the car, so one tiny radio transmitter sends instructions to the lights, indicators etc. There are no keys - just an access card which can be read by the car from your pocket. According to the designers, it costs less than 50 rupees per 100Km (about a tenth that of a petrol car). Its mileage is about double that of the most advanced electric car (200 to 300 km or 10 hours of driving), a factor which makes a perfect choice in cities where the 80% of motorists drive at less than 60Km. The car has a top speed of 105 kmph. Refilling the car will, once the market develops, take place at adapted petrol stations to administer compressed air. In two or three minutes, and at a cost of approximately 100 rupees, the car will be ready to go another 200-300 kilometers.
As a viable alternative, the car carries a small compressor which can be connected to the mains (220V or 380V) and refill the tank in 3-4 hours. Due to the absence of combustion and, consequently, of residues, changing the oil.
(1 liter of vegetable oil) is necessary only every 50,000 Km).

BMW Body Kits Review

The following is a review of the Five of the world's Most Efficient Cars. This is cool cars and interesting to you have. see the review below. I hope you're happy because they visit this blog

BMW cars are great looking vehicles that speak of wealth, prestige and status. So how can you improve on these symbols of wealth with the use of BMW body kits? Well while you can use some of the more outlandish looking parts there are also other options. These are the use of rear wings or custom wheels and rims.
You don’t have to go all out and change the entire way your BMW looks. The main fact behind your decision to change the nice conventional look to your status symbol may be the desire to stand out from the rest of the crowd. The best way to achieve this ambition is with the use of BMW body kits.

You can start this metamorphosis by deciding on the first items to change. For instance you may like the look of the sky wing door of the Lamborghini range. These car doors open to the sky instead of the usual factory direct sideways. There are other items in BMW body kits that you can add to give your BMW a brand new look. These will include a possible trunkwing “959”.
At this point you should be aware that most of the body kits parts will have a language of their own. The trunkwing is a term denoting that a new trunk has been made out of fiberglass or the original OEM trunk. This new trunk comes complete with built-in wings of its own.

There are other parts in the BMW body kits range that you can add to your car. For instance you will find some fantastic rear and front lip parts which can be placed on your car. There are also the various side skirts which are attached to the sides of the car to give your BMW a sleek look. On the other hand you might want to have a wide body kit performed on your BMW.
This body kit will in some cases require extensive body work and painting to be done on your car. What is entailed in this type of body work is ground effect fender flares or wide fenders to be attached to your BMW. There are additional 1 /4 panels which need to be attached as well. To help your car cope with the wider fenders you may have to add some wider wheels and tires to your BMW.

Now before you become scared of how your car will look you should know that there are some real nice looking tires that will not spoil the elegant look of your BMW. As with so many different body kits the BMW body kits have been created to cater for the tastes of different people. You will find the addition of these BMW body kits to provide your car with added elegance.

This configuration also offers an innovative four-wheel variables with independent control of the driving forces in both axes. Electrical energy is stored in a liquid cooled lithium ion can be recharged at a standard outlet. Driving electric, must be more than 16 kilometers in the NEDC. The cooldown of the network depends on each country's electricity, but the burden is expected to last about seven hours at 110V/10A United States. A fast load option is evaluated to further reduce the load time.

With a combined fuel consumption of just under 3.0 l/100 km in the NEDC cycle, equivalent to CO2 emissions of only 70 g / km and 112 g / km. Porsche 918 RSR Review

The following is a review of the Porsche 918 RSR. This is a car is cool and interesting to you have. see the review below. I hope you're happy because they visit this blog.
With the Porsche 918 RSR, the manufacturer of luxury sports cars is a synthesis of high-end 2010 was successful hybrid concepts. The two-seat mid-engine coupe 918 RSR clearly reveals what happens when the technology is installed in the 911 GT3 R Hybrid and the design of the Spyder 918 is transferred to a modern, innovative Super Sports car.

With its highly efficient accumulator wheel, convinced Porsche 911 GT3 R hybrid race car to be a magnet for the attention of racing competition at the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, during the American Le Mans Series races (ALMS) at Road Atlanta / USA and execute ILMCC in Zhuhai in China. It has demonstrated its potential for massive performance in race conditions realistically against the major competitors. Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid, known internally as "laboratory course" has surpassed the high expectations of Porsche Motorsport. Competitiveness, high reliability and exemplary fuel efficiency combined with superior performance undervalued idea that the basic Porsche technicians additional power generation in an intelligent manner. 911 GT3 R Hybrid gets its extra power from its own vehicle dynamics during braking. Porsche is now transplanting this technology in the mid-engine coupe 918 RSR, the version of Motorsport 918 Spyder concept car.

In the tradition established by cars Porsche classic racing and long distance 908 long tail coupe (1969) and 917 short-tail coupe (1971), Porsche's designers have created a link to the postmodernism of the form "follows the function "philosophy. In the 918 RSR, the flow lines "elegant is dominated by muscular wheel arches, dynamic air intakes and a chair similar cabin. A fan wheel between the consumption of visible tubes and ram air spoiler rear with the RS Spyder dimensions emphasize the role of the laboratory course. The new "liquid metal chrome blue" color that has been created especially for sculpted forms, while the typical color of Porsche brake calipers and orange hybrid longitudinal stripes of the body touches lends remarkable.

Motor Racing Technology also dominates in the details of light, torsionally stiff carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque. The V8 engine is a further development of direct-injection engine is not RS Spyder racing car, and now offers 563 hp output accurately 10 300 rpm for 918 RSR. Electric motors on two front wheels each contribute 75 kW, for a total of 150 kW, in order to use high power exactly 767 hp. This extra power which is generated during braking is stored in the optimized flywheel accumulator.

In the 918 RSR, the two electric motors offer a torque vectoring function with variable torque distribution on the front axle. This further enhances flexibility and improves steering response. Mounted upstream of the rear axle, it's mid-engine integrated with a racing transmission also based on the RS Spyder racing car. This developed six-speed constant mesh gearbox with shaft mounted longitudinally and spur gear spur gears operated using two shift paddles behind the wheel racing.

Functional equipment of the car motorsports emphasizes its purist. Whether the doors that open characteristic obliquely upwards, and air entering the bet ¬ roof between the wing doors, very quick to lock on the forehead and eyelids CFRP rear, both mounted rooftop antennas for radio telemetry and pit, the RS Spyder, which small, Flic front side air separator or under the front lip or no profile racing slicks on 19 "wheels with central locking, the vehicle can be clearly recognized as an experimental laboratory course.

Unlike the 918 Spyder concept car no frills atmosphere dominated racing in the interior of the 918 RSR. The seats are tight brown leather mentions the story of Mr. flashes the gear on the driver racing wheel and a recovery screen on the steering column in front of the screen provide the pilot with information. Instead of the futuristic, ergonomic center console with advanced touch interface of the 918 Spyder concept car of the passenger 918 RSR broken down by a minimalist console with rocker switches. Instead of another seat, the battery is driving on the right side of the console.

This battery is flying an electric motor whose rotor rotates up to 36 000 rpm rotation to conserve energy. The battery charges when the two electric motors behind the front axle of their activities during the braking process and function generators. Touch of a button, the pilot is able to retrieve the stored energy in the flywheel will be charged the battery and use it during acceleration or overtaking moves. The flywheel is braked electromagnetically in this case, in addition to providing up to 2 x 75 kW, for a total of 150 kW, the kinetic energy of the two electric motors on the front axle.

This additional power is available for about eight seconds when the system is fully charged. In the successful 911 GT3 R Hybrid, this additional power can also be used as an aid to consumption depending on the situation of the race, for example, to delay or pit stops to reduce fuel tank volume and therefore the weight of the vehicle.

With the new 918 RSR racing laboratory, Porsche is now raising the concept of hybrid race at an experimental level. In the 918 RSR, "Porsche Intelligent Performance" is equivalent to finding ways to promote sustainable improvements in efficiency under high track, lap times, pit stops and reliability - a profession in which Porsche was to demonstrate its success for over 60 years.
Finally, the starting number of 22 years, celebrates the birthday of a new triumph. Back in the days when victories at Le Mans in general is still not a routine matter entirely within the Porsche racing department, the pilots Dr. Helmut Marko and Gijs van Lennep were the first to cross the finish line in 1971 24 hours typical. Distance record set by its short tail Porsche 917 Coupe - 5335.313 km (3315.21 miles) at an average speed of 222.304 km / h (138.13 mph) - was not maintained unbeaten for an eternity, but exactly 39 years until 2010. At that time, the 917 colors of Martini was also an experience and ahead of his time: a magnesium space frame set new standards in the field of lightweight Porsche.

And he gets less than 10 liters of fuel per 100 km. This will be achieved, such as the Auto Start-Stop the engine and transmission, thermal management, power recovery system, the world's first seven-speed manual transmission, and - in cooperation with the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe ( PDK) - the ability to "Sail", or the coast. The new electro-mechanical power steering offers not only typical of Porsche and accurate feedback, but also help increase efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

The 911 Carrera S with its 400 hp 3.8-liter boxer engine - 15 hp more than before - reached 8.7 km NEDC-cycle L/100 when combined with the optional PDK transmission. This represents a decrease in fuel consumption by 14 percent or 1.5 l/100 km.

911 Carrera S PDK accelerates 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. Using a Launch Control feature is an optional Sport Chrono cuts of 3.9 seconds. Top track speed of 911 Carrera S is 188 mph.

In addition to the longer wheelbase, the greater stability of flexibility, precision and driving is based, among other things, on the track wider front, the new rear axle and new electromechanical power steering. Depending on the model, there are other standard or optional active control systems available that can help strengthen the global dynamics of Conduct. This is especially true for the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilization system available for the first time in 911 Carrera S. The system helps reduce side roll during cornering and helps keep the tires at the optimum position relative to the road surface.

Facebook is 'Building Shadow Profiles of NON-users'

Facebook is building profiles of people who have not created an account with the social networking giant, it has been claimed.

The allegation, made to Ireland's Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), claims that users are encouraged to give out non user's personal details, like names, phone numbers and email addresses, which Facebook uses to create 'shadow profiles' of those people.

However, Facebook, which has 800 million users, has denied the claims and refutes allegations it is tracking information of non account holders too.

The claims were outlined in a complaint made by student Max Schrems, 24, in August who asked the company to release data it held on him much of which he claims he had deleted from his profile.

He was given a CD with all the information, including data about his friend requests and messages he had deleted, and then filed 22 complaints with the IDPC, which has jurisdiction over Facebook in Europe.

The complaint states that information is being gathered 'without notice or consent by the data subject' and may be 'embarrassing or intimidating and might also constitute sensitive data like political opinions, religious beliefs or sexual orientation'.

If the social network is found to be keeping data illegally it will be forced to comply with the law or it will be fined.

Spokesman for the IDPC Ciara O'Sullivan told FoxNews.com that its audit of Facebook Ireland's privacy policies was part of a 'statutory investigation' which is expected to trigger changes. She said the 'comprehensive audit' will begin before the end of the month.

Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes told the news website it allows users to send emails to friends inviting them to join Facebook and that invitee's email addresses and names are kept so users can be informed when friends join.

He said this practice was common among services that involve invitations. Mr Noyes added 'The assertion that Facebook is doing some sort of nefarious profiling is simply wrong'.

The social network also said information from users it not used to target advertisements and information is not sold to other people.

According to Asrillazi, the extermination will be upheld until the sporting event comes to an end. His service has periodically exterminated wild dogs to suppress the spread of rabies.

Dozens up to hundreds of wild dogs roam around streets in Palembang to look for food at night.

iPod creator switches attention to 'smart' thermostats

The man known as the "godfather" of the iPod has invested his energy in a home appliance: a thermostat.

Tony Fadell caused surprise when he quit Apple in 2008 after heading its music player division. Fortune magazine once tipped him as a successor to former chief executive, Steve Jobs.

Mr Fadell has now revealed his efforts went into the Learning Thermostat.

The smart device adjusts the temperature based on the presence of people and their habits.

It can "learn" about a house's cooling and heating patterns to optimise its performance, and adjust itself to the weather conditions.

Mr Faddell said the device could cut 20 to 30% off the average household's energy bill.

He said it is also possible to control the $249 (£156) thermostat remotely via a smartphone app.

The price is around fifteen times higher than what basic thermostats sell for in the US.

Smart gadgets

There are also alternative "smart" models on the market.

A Canadian firm Ecobee produces web-connected programmable "green" thermostats.

But according to Mr Fadell's company, Nest, the Learning Thermostat is more user-friendly, and has the advantage of being able to "observe" household members and their surroundings.

Using a motion sensor, it can detect whether or not anyone is home - and if the house or flat is empty, it goes into the energy-saving mode by turning down the heater or air conditioner.

Beyond thermostats
Smart thermostats are just one kind of the growing number of "intelligent" devices that are connected to the web and able to interact with humans and among themselves.

Smart meters and smart grids are among the best known ones, but companies are also experimenting with smart parking places, smart tags at retail stores and even a so-called Urban operating system aimed at controlling devices of a future smart city.

The tech website CNET, which interviewed Nest's co-founder Matt Rogers, says the start-up is likely to move beyond smart thermostats in the years to come.

"You don't hire a crack team to build a product. You hire them to build a company," the site quoted Mr Rogers as saying.

UK urged to research pilot-free planes

Investment in new aeroplane technologies is the key to the UK maintaining its status as an aerospace leader, according to a report.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) said the country's research and development spending has "flat-lined" since the 2008 financial crisis.

It said that made the UK's position vulnerable to China, India and Brazil.

It urged the creation of a research centre to test ideas such as pilot-free planes and solar-powered flight.

"The UK aerospace sector already employs over 100,000 people around the country and is worth over £29bn a year to our economy, but we need to take action now to ensure this sector can continue to thrive and grow," said Stephen Tetlow, chief executive of IMechE.

He said the UK was currently the second biggest aerospace manufacturer in the world.

However, it is being challenged by emerging economies, which are offering firms competitive R&D opportunities to boost their market share, as well as the promise of cheaper labour.
Future tech

IMechE's Aero 2075 report made three recommendations to secure the UK's lead.

  • Industry and government should agree a strategic vision for investing in the UK's aerospace sector
  • The UK should establish an advanced technologies aerospace research centre
  • Government should restore R&D support to pre-recession levels

If the suggestions were to be followed, the institution suggested there could be a range of UK-designed innovations in the skies over the next 50 years.

It said these could include formation flying, where a group of aircraft cruise in a V-shaped formation to reduce drag and boost fuel efficiency.

IMechE said there were opportunities to explore generating power mid-flight from renewable sources, such as solar and hydrogen fuel cells. However, it warned batteries would have to become lighter.

It noted that the UK was already involved in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles for the military. It said the research could be extended to develop pilot-less freighter aircraft, even if passengers resisted the idea.

Perhaps its most radical idea was the suggestion that a large "mothership" aircraft could carry smaller individual units, which would be released over designated areas, allowing passengers to be dropped off closer to their final destinations.

"These technologies may seem fanciful, but there is engineering research that shows that these technologies are feasible," said Philippa Oldham, head of transport at IMechE.

"These aircraft would be expensive but it's important to remember that these developments bring jobs and investment back into the UK."

High-speed 'space wedge' on track

The European Space Agency (Esa) is pressing ahead with its re-entry demonstrator known as the IXV, which it expects to launch in 2013.

This distinctive wedge-shaped vehicle will be put at an altitude above 400km from where it will begin its flight back to Earth.

Its suite of sensors should give engineers new insights into how objects fall back through the atmosphere.

Ultimately, the data should inform better spacecraft design.

Even probes sent to land on other worlds like Mars should benefit from the knowledge.

"IXV is providing Europe with important technologies and a step to more ambitious programmes in the future," said Antonio Fabrizi, one of Esa's senior directors.

He signed an agreement at the Paris Air Show that will lead to manufacture of the demonstrator by Thales Alenia Space in Italy.

The company's facility in Turin has spent the past two years researching the concept.

The Intermediate Experimental Vehicle (IXV) is a car-sized, two-tonne automated craft that can be seen as a follow-on to the Advanced Re-entry Demonstrator flown by Esa in 1998.

But whereas ARD was a traditional cone-shaped object, IXV is very different; it has flaps and thrusters to control its descent trajectory. A ceramic heatshield on its underside will prevent IXV from burning up.

The vehicle will launch from French Guiana in South America on Esa's forthcoming small rocket, Vega.

The top stage of Vega will put IXV on a sub-orbital trajectory around the Earth that will bring the demonstrator down in Pacific. A parachute will be deployed to bring it to a gentle splash-down. The whole mission should last about an hour.

The knowledge gained from the flight is expected to feed into materials research and the computer models that are used to describe the energetic physics that occurs when an object plunges through atmospheric gases at several kilometres per second.

Europe's expertise on re-entry technologies is more limited than, say, the US, and it is looking to boost its knowledge with a number of flight demos.

Later this year Esa will also launch its EXPERT (eXPErimental Reentry Testbed) vehicle.

This is smaller than the IXV at just over 1.5m in length and weighing slightly less than 450kg; but again, it will be packed with sensors.

EXPERT will launch to just over 100km on a submarine missile before falling back to the ground and landing by parachute.

Thales Alenia Space is also leading this project industrially, too.

"We are growing a competency in re-entry in our company and this will feed into future missions," Luigi Pasquali, the president and CEO of Thales Alenia Space (Italy), told BBC News.

Although only one flight of the IXV is currently planned, its recovery from the ocean would allow further experimental flights to be conducted.

Saab says cannot pay employee wages

Swedish carmaker Saab has said it does not have enough money to pay its employees' wages.

Owner Swedish Automobile said it was in discussions with lenders to try and obtain short-term funding.

Earlier this month, the company said it had reached a deal with two Chinese firms to invest a total of 245m euros ($350m; £218m) in the company.

Production at Saab's main plant in Sweden is currently on hold after it was unable to pay suppliers.

"Swedish Automobile and Saab Automobile are in discussions with various parties to obtain short-term funding, including via the sale and lease-back of the real estate of Saab that was announced previously, and with their financiers in connection with current financing arrangements," the company said in a statement.

However, it gave no assurances that it would be able to obtain the funding needed to pay wages.

Swedish Automobile, formerly known as Spyker Cars, bought Saab last year from General Motors following major restructuring at the US car giant.

The company is still struggling, however, selling only about 30,000 cars last year.

Chinese hope
Saab is hoping that the provisional deal struck with the two Chinese investors will help solve its longer-term financial difficulties.

Under the non-binding deal, Zhejian Youngman Lotus Automobile would invest 136m euros for a 29.9% stake, while Pang Da Automobile would increase its investment to 109m euros, retaining its previously-agreed 24% stake.

However, the deal needs approval from Chinese and European regulators and the European Investment Bank.

If the agreement does go through, both Swedish carmakers would have Chinese ownership.

Volvo was bought by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group in August 2010.

Mexico urges inquiry as US agent shoots man on border

Mexico's government has condemned the fatal shooting of a Mexican man who was allegedly throwing stones at US agents across the Tijuana-San Diego fence.

The Mexican foreign ministry said the use of firearms to repel stone-throwing was "disproportionate".

San Diego police said the man had struck one agent and was about to hit another when he was shot.

There have been several fatal border shootings in recent years, increasing the controversy over the use of force.

The shooting happened late on Tuesday near the San Ysidro crossing point between Tijuana and San Diego.

According to US authorities, three men were trying to get over the border when they were stopped by two agents.

Two of the men fled back across the fence and began pelting the agents with stones, they said.

When one of the officers was hit, the other opened fire.

Mexican police said the man, identified as Jose Alfredo Yanez, was shot twice and died on the Tijuana side of the border.

Serious injury
Mexican President Felipe Calderon said on his Twitter account that he had raised the issue with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Guatemala, where both were attending a security conference.

"I demanded that those guilty be punished," Mr Calderon wrote.

The Mexican authorities and rights groups say the US Border Patrol uses excessive tactics to deter migrants.

"We simply cannot allow our law enforcement agents to use lethal force when confronted by rock throwers," said Kevin Keenan of the American Civil Liberties Union.

But the Border Patrol says rock attacks on its agents are frequent and capable of causing serious injury.

"Agents don't shoot their weapon unless they fear for their lives or the lives of their partners or innocent third persons," Justin De La Torre, acting assistant chief patrol agent in San Diego, told the Los Angeles Times.

In one of the most high-profile shootings, agents last June shot dead a Mexican teenager at the border crossing between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso. The FBI concluded that the agent fired while fending off a rock attack.

This latest shooting is being investigated by the San Diego police and the FBI. The Mexican authorities are also conducting their own inquiry.
